I've been listening to this song since i woke up...
I signed into AOL just now and this is what I found.
Previously unpublished photos of Marilyn Monroe...
=] Im so hot for the girl...
Other than that, I'm surviving school by writing poetry and occasional drawing in every class.
I read the literature about the most recent exhibition at Exit Art (my internship), called Negritude. Negritude is a real gritty, beautiful story of the struggling world of Blackness. Brazilian beauties, atrocity, pain, pride, attitude.
Big Poppa- "Heartthrob never, Black and ugly as ever."
I'm getting really into this (obviously) and it makes me think much about who I am expected to be and where i've been and grown up and want to run around.
I started writing a poem about it but it's not ready to be published.
But, heres a link to Negritude for those of you interested.
I am determined to attend the Negritude party. June 18, 2009.
*Excitement* Music, fun, food, festival, art, film. Just some great celebrations of Black the self. I'm feeling this shit down to the bone.
How can ANYONE resist a “conjuration room where willing spirits can come to get toasted, roasted, and lit the fuck up.” ????
Not i. Not i. I get high on music and soul swimming. It's good to drown...

By the way...
I am destined for something big and bright and unique. I can feel it.
