but i'd like to call it fate

Pressure on my eyelids
Could not persuade the passion
to be pardoned.
He God Almighty
put the poet-
trees-
roots in my mind
seeds on my tongue
water
I thirst for drip from my lips
And
I say I live I dream I've never felt this before,
it's
always words on the back-end, back-handed synonym so I draw
too much attention, a portrait of me cuz
I think it if not written I'll never get them back again.

So eyes my eyes our eyes witness sunrises repeatedly,
Repeat as my pen releases me
Ink spreads nightfall soul pastel pictures
these lectures made indescribable on canvas
Lift up the sheet and probably find it stapled to hands
and i pull away each and every bended metal piece
so keep can keep my peace
I speak my piece
repeat
pull me loose
she is are getting out of hand
to find a foot- hold onto this tattered
and shattered limb of mine...

As my tears fall,
hope I don't follow
But they're rushing too fast down these cheeks for my tongue to catch up and explain...
so I wait till tomorrow
Repeat- yes I will wait till tomorrow

And these whispers reach my ears
so close they feel like symphonies
beating their feet on my chest
reaching reaching reaching up and around my neck to tell me...

There is finally someone here.
Something. Here.
In between my footsteps there drops
drops the rhythm
in step with my oil covered crayon
blankets under my knees as I kneel and pray on
this never ending spirit.

Spitting from mountaintops
Gladly I will show you
what was created from this mess and mesh and lace
and my face holds steady this question of who?
Why? I don't see.
Why don't I see?

Sure enough I am blind to the rock in my fist
Stunned, still and my lips turned cold
Heart beating beating beating
beeping beep beep beep..

Begging to listen
I am begging to hear
For you to listen
For them to listen

Realize this is baby steppin
Yet firstlovelike I will give my all
Excuse these sweating palms and twitching fingers

I don't fool myself,
I will fall all over myself
and all over you...
But if the steps of expression trip me up
I will leap two by two
to get to you.
